My Industrial Chic Classroom Reveal & FREEBIE

If you have been following me on Instagram, you may already know that my school has been building a brand new, state-of-the-art, STEM campus behind our existing building since last year.  While we were hoping that the new building would be ready at the end of August, scheduling and weather actually pushed us back six weeks.

As any teacher knows, moving is no easy task, but moving during a four-day holiday weekend while also teaching up to the day of the move is honestly, a BEAST!  I mean, we literally MOVED an entire school to a new campus within a couple of days!

Here's a picture of our hallway at dismissal on THURSDAY!

Here is a picture of my new classroom and before all the boxes arrived!

And here's when all the fun began and please let me just tell you, there were definitely more and more boxes in the background.  😅

While I must say that it was stressful and challenging, the end result has definitely paid off! With the help of my family, friends, some high school football players, and great friends at Oriental Trading for making my Industrial Chic dreams come TRUE!

So without further-ado, here is my new Industrial Chic CLASSROOM!  To purchase the products, click on the links!

Supplies Caddies

Let's start with these adorable Burlap Supplies Caddies and plastic mason jars!  The caddies are held together by durable velcro and super easy to put together.  I used the short mason jars for crayons, pint jars to store our jumbo glue sticks and pencils, and the Black and White Striped Satin Ribbon to add a little accent to the already chic caddies. To label the caddies, I simply used a permanent marker and that was it!

My New Library Center

One of the advantages of my new classroom is that I have two very big windows!  When I saw this little corner by this window, I knew it was perfect for a quiet and peaceful reading nook for my kids.

Let's start with the bulletin board! Since I wanted to achieve a less colorful and calming environment for my new classroom, I knew that I needed to choose from more neutral colors.  With that being said, I decided to pair the Fadeless White Shiplap Bulletin Paper with the  Black and White Striped Border, Motivational Wall Cling and the adorable Light Bulb Bulletin Board Cut-Outs.  Once complete, I was head-over-heels in love with how the pieces went so effortlessly and beautifully well together!   I am so excited to use this board to post pictures of my kids throughout the year!

As for the book baskets, I decided to trade my rainbow tubs for these simple, inexpensive baskets and added the Black and White Stripe Ribbon for some accent bows.

Calendar

This Industrial Chic Calendar Set was the perfect addition for my new theme!  All the pieces that I needed came together as well as some accent star and heart pieces that I was able to use throughout my classroom!

Student Cubbies

To freshen these student cubbies with a simple and quick solution, I lined them with white cardstock and placed wooden trays on top to hold scissors for my Table Captains to quickly pass them out when needed.

The bulletin board above the cubbies is meant to serve as inspirational and positive reminders for my students in such a high traffic area.  Although the writing is in cursive, my students love trying to read in cursive and having print and cursive in the classroom is always good for students, especially those who are dyslexic.

Teacher Podium

Yes, we are moved in, but yes we are still under construction in many ways. lol!  To bring some life and into my current barren view, I added these faux floral greenery to my plastic mason jars on my teacher podium aka docking area for my laptop.

A-Mason Birthday Wall

How adorable is this Fadeless Chalkboard Paper with these Industrial Shiplap Borders and Chalkboard Bulletin Board Letters?!  Since my kids are just so A-MASON, I thought there is only one way to display their birthdays and it just had to be with mason jar cutouts that I made!  I simply printed and laminated them so I can write their names and dates with a dry erase marker later on this week!

Word Wall

To go along with the theme, I used Polka Dot borders and these Chalkboard letters for my Word Wall! I'm so excited to add to this board with the kids this week!

And last but not least, my most favorite view of the classroom!  My Student Work Display Board!!! When I first walked into my room, I knew that the HUGE wall space onto of the students' hooks for backpacks and jackets had to demand attention and had be the focal point in our classroom!

And since there is nothing more important to me than to have my students' work be the center and focal point of our classroom, I chose this beautiful background along with the border, light bulb cut-outs, wall cling, and tissue fans to bring our entire room together!

Here's  a view of the board from the door.

Thank you so much for checking out my new classroom!  While I have loved my bright and rainbow-themed classroom for so long, I am happy for a more minimalist and calming look to go along with our new learning environment.

Thank you again to the wonderful people at  Oriental Trading Company for supporting my vision, love of teaching, and most importantly, my students!
